Seems the picture isn't quite representative of the product. Pulled until updated info arrives. Sorry but there's plenty of other one handed DJ reading material to look at.

Yay? Nay?

I'm excited...yet skeptical...

This has the potential to change the game, but the devil's in the details. If they don't skimp on things like proper balanced outs, road worthy construction, field replaceable parts, non-wonky (lookin at you, SLDZ-1200) platters, etc. this could be huge. But alas, I'm sure this will be aimed at lazy newbs... :(

Wow.... WHY would serato/rane team up with one of the f*kin worst bottom-of-barrel hardware companies around? I think a collab between Rane/Serato and Panasonic for a SLDZ-1200 mk2 would have been the nail in the coffin for most other dvs'. Just my 2 cents...

interesting... but sucks that its coming from Numark.. the most annoying company to deal with when you have an issue.

I wish they'd make a CDX/HDX type player, but make it as a midi controller so we could take advantage of the full 12" vinyl platter

Yeah, I don't get why this is so hard....

Sheesh, take a 1200 motor/platter/body, lose the tone arm, replace the RCA outs with a USB out that uses magic computer voodoo to feed platter position & speed to serato. Shrink em down a bit if needed in order to justify some kind of advantage over regular TT's, rig up a fancy TTM-57 like mixer/USB hub (with extra ports for complicated MIDI/etc. gear if people want to go that route) for the gear that matches the form factor of the TT's, and call it a day.

If Rane and Technics could produce something like this that was as reliable as 1200's and a 56/57, I'd buy one yesterday.

I would prefer any motorized platter to a SLDZ. Even if they're pretty and have the name Technics on it doesn't means it doesn't sux.

Serato is launching a new product at NAMM today, it's called ITCH, and more information will be available later today.

Yes, we are making a software product that is controlled by the NK07, but it is NOT Scratch LIVE

Cool to know that Serato is releasing a new product!!! Can't wait to see what it is! But wasn't that Scratch Live that I saw in the picture earlier?

It was Numark 2x CDJ-type USB-MIDI 7" motorized platter with lots of knobs and buttons plus a 2ch mixer equipped with a CF-Pro x-fader, all in one metal case, supposely compatible with Serato products...But Sam at Serato just posted that it wouldn't be Scratch Live compatible tough...

Looks like Serato and Numark have actually partnered up, see this press release:

http://www.numark.com/content49005

Hopefully that means tight hardware/software combos.
