Monthly Archive

Below is a complete archive of all the news stories we've ever posted, broken down by month. Apologies for any missing pictures - the recent host change has seen a few images go walkabout. As I come across them, I'll find them and reinsert them. But I'm sure you'd rather I worked on the all new site than recover 7 year old images.

Big up to Mr KD for the link and to the guys at Digital Vertigo for the image.

Review time again people - this time Deft gets his way and lays his hands on the new Ecler Nuo5.

While not a straight up battle mixer, the Nuo5 offers many features the more adventurous scratch DJ might well be interested in - especially the Eternal fader as found in their flagship scratch mixer the HAK 360.

We will get round to reviewing the HAK 360 - honest!

... Seth Barribeau, Dino Humble and James Godfrey. Congrats to you guys - Laurent from www.rawbeats.com will be in touch with you if he hasn't already.

I recommend grabbing a copy or 2 of Lamont's "DJ's From Earth" - I have one copy and it's getting some serious usage and will no doubt feature in an upcoming sw_smilie.png video of some product or other.

Posted by Gizmo on November 6, 2004
Someone asked for it so here it is - proof that you don't need the best gear to knock together a set. With a Slikmat and Nick Nacks Soundcraftsman v1, the Vestax Handytrax performs surprisingly well under my hand.
